Improving Workspace accessibility

You can modify Workspace in ways that make it easier to navigate through the interface while using a screen reader and a keyboard. These tips help you set up your interface for easier navigation.

  • Turn off the Welcome Page by selecting Don't Show This Screen Again on the Welcome Page and setting your Start Location to the area of the page you use the most.

  • To avoid alert messages for every task that arrives in your To Do list, set the Message Notification View Time to Notification Off.

  • Reduce the number of columns displayed in the To Do and Tracking tabs. When you go to a task on the To Do page or Tracking page, JAWS reads the contents of each column. To reduce the amount of information being read, reduce the number of columns displayed to only those columns that you require.

  • Add processes that you start regularly to the Favorites category by selecting a process and then typing CTRL+SHIFT+D. You add a process to the Favorites category only once. After you add a process, you can start the process from the Favorites category using the keyboard.
