SPNEGO (Simple and Protected GSSAPI Negotiation Mechanism) est un mécanisme GSSAPI (Generic Security Services Application Program Interface). Il permet d’authentifier le serveur et le client quand aucun d’entre eux ne connaît le protocole d’authentification pris en charge par l’autre.
