Start new processes from existing task data

If you must start a new instance of a process that you previously initiated, use the data from the previously initiated process to start the new process. This technique can save you time if the process has a long form to fill.

1. Perform one the following steps:

   • View the details for the existing process instance. Processes that you initiated display the Initiated icon . Click the History tab and select the task that initiated the process.

   • From the results of a search template, select a task that initiated a process instance.

2. Click Start . The form and data for the task is displayed.

3. Update the data as necessary and click either Complete or the appropriate button on the form.
