package provides classes and interfaces that
enable you to create your own user and group directory service provider.
User Management supports the use of LDAP servers for retrieving user information for authentication purposes. Your organization may store user information in a repository that is not based on the LDAP protocol, such as a relational database. You can create a directory service provider that retrieves user information from your user store and returns it to User Management.
