Data Services provides a comprehensive set of data-enabling features,
which are deployed in a Java web application. Data Services also
provides a separate set of features specifically for working with
data in Foundation. These features are installed and deployed in
Foundation.
With Data Services, you can build data-rich Flex and Ajax applications
that securely and cooperatively interact with a variety of data
sources. The data sources include web services, XML data, and custom
Java destinations, including Data Management Service, Hibernate,
and SQL.
