The Rights Protect Document component uses the Adobe® LiveCycle® Rights Management
module to protect PDF documents and native file formats. Documents
are protected by applying policies that your administrator set on
the LiveCycle server.
A policy is a collection of information that includes
confidentiality settings and a list of authorized users. A policy
can specify who can open a document, limit how they can use it,
and monitor the document after it is distributed. Policies with
a common business purpose can be grouped into policy sets.
(Deprecated for AEM forms) Launch Pad displays only the policy
sets and policies that you have permission to use.
You can apply policies to PDF documents and these types of other
documents:
Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx)
Microsoft Excel (.xls, .xlsx)
Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx)
For more information about the settings used for the Rights Protect
Document component, see "Rights Management Service" in LiveCycle Services.
