Introduction

Hyperic HQ is software that you can use to monitor and manage your web infrastructure, server, services, and devices. Hyperic HQ provides many benefits for organizations running Adobe® LiveCycle® Enterprise Suite 4 (ES4):

• Enables you to view and analyze metrics for servers, services, and processes

• Automatically charts resource performance

• Enables you to quickly target non-responsive resources and applications

• Provides an easy way to determine the real-time health of a large group of resources and applications

• Enables you to customize monitoring and performance alerts based on the type and severity of condition. You can configure Hyperic HQ to send email alerts for certain types of conditions.

Adobe provides three plugins for Hyperic HQ, which you can use to monitor computers running LiveCycle:

LiveCycle Foundation Plugin

monitors your LiveCycle Servers. There are three versions of the LiveCycle Foundation Plugin: one for LiveCycle servers running on JBoss, one for WebLogic, and one for WebSphere.

LiveCycle Services Plugin

monitors your LiveCycle processes.

LiveCycle Process Plugin

monitors the individual LiveCycle instances used by your processes.
