Hyperic HQ consists of these main components:
- HQ Agents
- Install an HQ Agent on each machine that you want to monitor.
The HQ Agent detects system information, as well as software and
application resources on the computer. It also gathers metrics such
as availability, utilization, and throughput.
- HQ Server
- The HQ Server receives data from the HQ Agents, stores the
data in a database, and performs notifications and alerts when required.
- HQ Portal
- The HQ portal is a configurable user interface that enables
you to monitor the systems where the HQ Agents are installed.
