The Batch Operations tab contains tools that allow you
to perform batch operations for potentially long-running tasks in
a Correspondence Management installation.
Note: The Batch Operations tab is only available
in the Author instance. Also, you are recommened to perform these
batch operations during non-business hours when no users are creating
or modifying assets.
In the Batch Operations tab, you can run
the following batches:
- Ready to Publish All
- Marks all modified assets in this installation as Ready to Publish.
- Publish All Assets
- Publishes all assets in this installation that are
marked Ready to Publish.
Note: If one or more assets are
in the modified state, the operation will fail.
- Export All Assets
- Exports all assets in this installation to a single
package (.cmp) file.
Note: If one or more assets are in the modified
state, a warning message is displayed. If you choose to continue
running the Export All batch, the modified assets are not exported.
Else, you can choose to move the modified assets to Ready to Publish
or Publish state and rerun the batch.
Important: Only the Correspondence Management Administrator has
privileges to execute a batch process. This implies that other users
will not have access to the Batch Operations tab.
Run a batch processTo run a batch processes,
click the Start Process button.
As
soon a batch process start running, the status of the batch changes
to In Process. Also, the Start Process buttons
on all the batch processes are disabled. You can only run one batch
process at a time. Also, while the process is running, if another
Correspondence Management Administrator logs in and opens the Batch
Operations tab, the Start Process buttons
on all the processes appear disabled.
Last Run Details
After
a batch process is complete, you can view the last run details.
This includes information such as the Administrator login and if
the batch run successfully or failed.
Download Export Package File
After
the Export All batch process is successfully run, click the Exported Package Download link
to download the package (.cmp) file of the exported assets.
