Follow these steps to install and configure the Hyperic
HQ Server and LiveCycle plugins:
Verify that the computer meets the Hyperic HQ Server
requirements. See HQ Server Requirements.
Hyperic HQ Server comes with a small built-in database. For
a large deployment, consider using an external database. See this
document from Hyperic: Before You Start: If You Are Using an External
Database.
Note: If you are using the built-in Hyperic
HQ database, make sure is it running before starting HQ Server.
Download the open source Hyperic HQ Server package from http://www.hyperic.com/downloads/hyperic-hq-open-source-downloads.
Install Hyperic HQ Server. For details on the Hyperic HQ
installation process, see Installing the Agent and Server from a Tarball
or Zip Archive.
Start HQ Server as described at the end of the install process.
Install the LiveCycle Plugins for Hyperic HQ:
In the same folder where server-4.4.0 is
located (typically the c:\Program Files folder),
create a folder named hq-plugins.
Restart HQ Server so that it picks up the new hq-plugins
folder.
In your LiveCycle installation DVD or download, go to \thirdparty\additional\HypericHQPlugin and
copy the plugin files. Paste the files into the c:\Program Files\hq-plugins folder.
