After
you install LiveCycle ES4, you can run Configuration Manager to
perform a variety of tasks. The first task you choose is to upgrade
from a previous version of LiveCycle to LiveCycle ES4. Then you
can select the following tasks for Configuration Manager to perform
in addition to the upgrade:
Configure LiveCycle modules in EAR files, to deploy to
the application server
Initialize the LiveCycle database
Deploy LiveCycle components
Validate the LiveCycle component deployment
Configure LiveCycle components
Note: You must initialize your existing database for
use with LiveCycle .This step does not harm existing data in any
way.
