LiveCycle can be installed and configured on Windows for
deployment on a Linux or UNIX platform. You can use this functionality
for installing on a locked-down Linux or UNIX environment. A locked-down
environment does not have a graphical user interface installed.
For the Linux or UNIX platform, the installation program installs
binaries that are used by Configuration Manager to configure the
product.
The computer running Windows can then be used as a staging location
for the deployable objects, which can be copied to a Linux or UNIX
computer for deployment to the application server. The application
server on the Windows-based computer, and the Linux or UNIX target
computer on which you want to install LiveCycle must be the same.
