9.1 Configuring an Apache server plug-in

You can install and configure an Apache HTTP server plug-in to provide load balancing in your cluster. The Apache HTTP server plug-in forwards requests received by an Apache server to a WebLogic Server instance of the cluster.

Perform the following tasks:

• Install the Apache HTTP server plug-in. (See 9.1.1 Installing the Apache HTTP server plug-in.)

• Configure the Apache HTTP server plug-in. (See 9.1.2 Configuring the Apache HTTP server plug-in.)

• Test the Apache HTTP server plug-in. (See 9.1.3 Testing the Apache HTTP server plug-in.)
