Exporting PDFs

The Export PDF component uses the PDF Generator module to convert PDF documents to the following file formats:

  • Accessible text, plain text, or rich text

  • Microsoft Word

  • Encapsulated PostScript or PostScript

  • HTML 3.0 or 4.0

  • XML 1.0

  • JPEG, JPEG 2000, PNG, or TIFF

You can provide multiple files at a time to export.

Note: All image files, except TIFF files, are exported as ZIP files.

    Export a PDF document

    1. Click the Export PDF icon.

    2. Add the PDF documents to export by clicking the plus button and selecting the files.

      You can also add files by dragging them from your desktop or Explore window to the list box.

    3. If exporting multiple PDF documents, sort the order in which to export them by clicking the up and down buttons.

    4. Select the Format Type to convert the PDF document to.

    5. Click Export PDF. The PDF documents are exported to the specified format and listed at the bottom of the component tab.

    6. Select the document from the bottom list box and drag it to your desktop. You can then open the document.
