Ordering of elements in the Create Correspondence interfaceThe variables and fields in the Data view of
the Create Correspondence user interface display in the same order
as they appear in the Letter.
Note: Here it is assumed that the
layout is designed in such a way that the hierarchical order of
the fields and the target areas is the same as their geographical
order.
A letter can contain condition modules. Condition
modules contain direct variables, derived from expressions, and
the indirect variables, derived from resultant modules. In the ordering
of elements in the Data view, the conditional variables display
as they appear in the letter. Within the condition, the direct variable
display first, sorted alphabetically, followed by the indirect variables,
in the order as they are assigned in the condition.
Ordering of elements in the Letter editorIn
the Data Editing view, the layout fields display first followed
by the variables from data modules.
Customizing the order of elements in Create Correspondence interfaceThe ordering of variables and fields in the
Create Correspondence interface can be made similar to their ordering
in the Data Editing view.
To do this:
Go to
http://<server>:<port>/lc/system/console/configMgr.
And log in with administrator credentials.
Search for Asset Composer Configurations.
Then search for Data Elements Ordering.
By default,
this option is set to true. This implies that elements in
the Create Correspondence interface display in the same order as
they appear in the Letter.
To ensure the elements in the Create Correspondence interface
display in the same order as they appear in the Data Editing view,
set the option to false.
Click Save.
