3 Configuring JBoss in a Cluster

The JBoss Application Server configuration is defined by a number of configuration files in several directories. To configure JBoss for use in a cluster, you must modify a number of configuration files. You can use any text editor to modify them.

Perform the following tasks to configure your JBoss cluster environment:

• Ensure that you properly prepared all computers in the cluster. (See 3.1 Preparing to install.)

• Install JBoss Application Server software. (See 3.2 Installing JBoss Application Server software.)

• Modify the JBoss run file. (See 3.4 Modifying the JBoss run.conf file.)

• Configure LiveCycle database connectivity. (See 3.5 Configuring LiveCycle database connectivity.)

• Test your JBoss cluster configuration. (See 3.6 Testing the JBoss Application Server cluster.)
