Connecting to a content management system

LiveCycle supports several ways of storing and managing assets such as forms, fragments, images, and XML schemas.

  • You can store assets in the LiveCycle repository.

  • If you already use a supported enterprise content management (ECM) system, you can configure one of these connectors to connect to it:

    • Adobe® LiveCycle® 10 Connector for IBM® FileNet®

    • Adobe® LiveCycle® 10 Connector for IBM®Content Manager

    • Adobe® LiveCycle® 10 Connector for EMC® Documentum®

    • Adobe® LiveCycle® 10 Connector for Microsoft®SharePoint®

Note: In earlier releases of LiveCycle, assets could be stored in an ECM repository. In this release, assets are stored in the LiveCycle native repository and the Repository Provider services have been deprecated. The migration of assets from an ECM repository to the LiveCycle repository is done when you perform an upgrade to LiveCycle. For more information, see the LiveCycle Upgrade guide for your application server.
