5.2 In-place or Out-of-place upgrades

5.2.1 Supported platforms for in-place upgrade

In-place upgrades: If you are upgrading to a WebSphere system, apply the latest Fix Packs from IBM.

Out-of-place upgrades: If you are performing an out-of-place upgrade, prepare the application server according to the instructions in this document.

5.2.1 Supported platforms for in-place upgrade

The ability to perform an in-place upgrade to AEM forms on JEE depends on the previous version of server you are upgrading from.
