Use
this dialog box when you want to use a custom identifier instead
of the default fragment name. In this dialog box, you can view or
edit the fragment identifier.
To display this dialog box, select Custom from the Fragment Name
list on the Subform tab of the Object palette.

Identify fragment by

Select the method you want to use to identify the fragment.

SOM expression

Type the SOM expression that identifies the fragment. It should
uniquely identify the root node of the fragment content in the fragment file.
For example, $template.form.#subform.MyFragment.

ID
-
Specifies the ID value that identifies the fragment. Most
IDs are generated in Designer. The ID can be any valid XML ID string
that is unique in the document that contains it.
