Start the service from the Services applet in Windows
Control Panel.

Watch
(tail) the
[appserver root]\domain\servers\<server-name>\log
file
to make sure that the service starts successfully.

Shutdown the service from the Services applet in Windows
Control Panel and verify that it is shut down successfully.

Make sure that you are able to restart the service from the
Services applet in Windows Control Panel.
