Working with batches

The Batch Operations tab contains tools that allow you to perform batch operations for potentially long-running tasks in a Correspondence Management installation.

Note: The Batch Operations tab is only available in the Author instance. Also, you are recommened to perform these batch operations during non-business hours when no users are creating or modifying assets.

In the Batch Operations tab, you can run the following batches:

Ready to Publish All
Marks all modified assets in this installation as Ready to Publish.

Publish All Assets
Publishes all assets in this installation that are marked Ready to Publish.
Note: If one or more assets are in the modified state, the operation will fail.

Export All Assets
Exports all assets in this installation to a single package (.cmp) file.
Note: If one or more assets are in the modified state, a warning message is displayed. If you choose to continue running the Export All batch, the modified assets are not exported. Else, you can choose to move the modified assets to Ready to Publish or Publish state and rerun the batch.

Important: Only the Correspondence Management Administrator has privileges to execute a batch process. This implies that other users will not have access to the Batch Operations tab.
