Develop Web and Desktop Applications in Flash Builder

Flash Builder provides tools to develop and package Flex-based web applications or Adobe AIR applications for the desktop.

While creating the Flex project, you select the required application type:

Web

To deploy the application as a SWF file for use in Flash Player running in a browser.

Desktop

To deploy a stand-alone Adobe AIR application for a desktop computer, such as a Windows computer or Macintosh.
