Introduction

Hyperic HQ is software that you can use to monitor and manage your web infrastructure, server, services, and devices. Hyperic HQ provides many benefits for organizations running Adobe Digital Enterprise Platform Document Services:

• Enables you to view and analyze metrics for servers, services, and processes

• Automatically charts resource performance

• Enables you to quickly target non-responsive resources and applications

• Provides an easy way to determine the real-time health of a large group of resources and applications

• Enables you to customize monitoring and performance alerts based on the type and severity of condition. You can configure Hyperic HQ to send email alerts for certain types of conditions.

Adobe provides three plugins for Hyperic HQ, which you can use to monitor computers running Adobe Digital Enterprise Platform Document Services:

ADEP Foundation Plugin

monitors your Document Servers. There are three versions of the ADEP Foundation Plugin: one for Document Servers running on JBoss, one for WebLogic, and one for WebSphere.

ADEP Services Plugin

monitors your Document Services processes.

ADEP Process Plugin

monitors the individual document services used by your processes.
