Interactive objects collect data from users, and provide feedback based on such data. For example, you can insert a text entry box to collect the names of users who take your course. Buttons help you provide options that users can choose or express their consent or opinion.
Interactive objects in Adobe Captivate (buttons, clickboxes, interactive widgets) have a pause point that is visible on the timeline. This point indicates when the project is paused to let user click the object.
You can adjust the timing of the pause by clicking and dragging the pause symbol in the Timeline.

In case of buttons, the pause symbol separates the Active and Inactive phases of the button. The lesser the Inactive phase, the earlier the button disappears when users click it.
You can add advanced interactivity to your courses by combining interactive objects with Advanced Actions. See More tutorials and examples for examples.
