Auto select HTML editor settings

RoboHelp can automatically open a third-party HTML editor for you. RoboHelp detects the editor to open based on the HTML file itself.

The following uses RoboHelp's default settings. You can also use the Auto Select Editor to create other associations using META/GENERATOR tags.

  1. Select Tools > Options.

  2. Click the HTML Editors tab.

  3. Select Auto Select Editor.

  4. Click OK.

Tips:

  • Choose a different editor for new topic files by right-clicking in the Project Manager Topic List. Select New Topic With. Select an editor from the submenu. (You must also select Use Default Editor in the Tools > Options > HTML Editors dialog.)

  • If you always use the same editor, set it as the default.
