You can set the length of preroll and postroll
for clip and sequence previews in the General pane of the Preferences
dialog box. Note: The Preroll and Postroll fields are different from
the Preroll setting in the Device Control pane of the Preferences
dialog box. The Preroll setting in the Device Control pane affects
the control of external devices such as VTRs and camcorders.
- Select Edit > Preferences > General (Windows)
or Premiere Pro > Preferences > General (Mac OS).
- In the Preroll and Postroll fields, type in the number
of seconds for each.
- Click OK.
