Save print settings as an output creation
Lightroom lets you create output
creations, which are collections based on settings you specify in
the Slideshow, Print, and Web modules. With an output creation,
it is easy to return to your output settings for a specific collection
of photos. In addition, you can add new photos to the collection,
and they automatically include the output settings. An output creation
differs from a custom template in that a template includes the output
options, but no photos. An output creation, however, applies the
output settings to the photos in the collection.
- In the Library module, select the photos you want
to print.
- In the Print module, select a template and specify the
settings you want in the Image Settings; Layout; Rulers, Grid &
Guides; Overlays; Cells; and Print Job panels.
- In the Filmstrip, select the photos to include them in
output creation.
- Click the Plus icon (+) in the Collections panel and
choose Create Print.
- Type a name for your output creation in the Create Print
dialog box. Choose a collection set from the Set pop-up menu to
add the output creation to an existing set, or choose None.
- Under Print Options, select Include Selected Photos.
Select Make New Virtual Copies if you want the output creation to
include virtual copies instead of the original photos.
- Click Create.
Lightroom adds the output creation to the Collections
panel in the specified location. The print output creation has a
page layout icon .
