AssetValidationFaultType
class enumerates the list of constants
related to the type of errors resulting from domain validations.
Domain validations are purely client-side validations that help to identify
the business rules that the domain object is violating before it is saved
on the server side. The validations help you to avoid redundant server calls
and can be used to display error information to the user. Validations are normally triggered
implicitly when the domain object's save()
method is invoked. However, it
is also possible to trigger the validations by invoking the validate()
method on the domain object.
Constant | Defined By | ||
---|---|---|---|
INCOMPATIBLE_DATADICTIONARY : int = 1 [static]
The AssetValidationFaultType.INCOMPATIBLE_DATADICTIONARY constant
indicates that the data dictionary associated with the domain object is not
compatible and cannot be saved. | AssetValidationFaultType |

The AssetValidationFaultType.INCOMPATIBLE_DATADICTIONARY
constant
indicates that the data dictionary associated with the domain object is not
compatible and cannot be saved. The incompatible data dictionary error occurs
when the data dictionary of an existing asset that is referred to by other assets
is changed.
The business rules do not allow you to change the data dictionary if the asset is being referenced by other assets.
