Rendering and exporting a movie for Clip Notes comments

You render and export a movie for Clip Notes comments using the render queue in the same way that you render other kinds of movies, though the export options are more limited than for most formats intended for final output.

Note: You can also use the File > Export menu to add a composition to the render queue to create a movie for Clip Notes comments.

When you create a Clip Notes review movie, you can specify FTP settings in the Others tab of the export settings dialog box to automatically place the PDF file on an FTP server for convenient exchange of files and comments.

Before you render and export the work area of a composition for review with Clip Notes, make sure that the work area is not set to begin at a frame other than the first frame of the composition. When you import Clip Notes comments into the composition, After Effects assumes that the first frame of the Clip Notes movie matches the first frame of the composition. If the work area is set to begin at a later frame, then the imported comments will be offset in time. (See Work area.)
